Hi i’m Susie Croot new owner of Rosscairn. So how did an Essex girl end up in Argyll? After meeting my husband in a butchers shop in Marlborough (don’t ask long storey) we were looking for a holiday home where we could escape from the world. We stumbled across our wee cottage and can honestly say its the only place we have been sad to leave. This pushed my husband Joe to have an epiphany! Lets sell up, move to our holiday home & start a business working for ourselves.
So we did! We purchased Rosscairn in 2018 and now provide group accommodation in our gracious welcoming old lady Rosscairn.
You’ll love the house features, from the high ceilings and dark wood panelling to parquet floors. There’s a choice of three spacious sitting rooms so everyone can find their favourite neuk, whether that’s with a favourite book or caught up in fun banter with your group. Culinary guests will appreciate the kitchen which offers a Range cooker and a separate, well-equipped pantry – fantastic for catering needs. There’s also an impressive dining room overlooking the pretty garden which can be set up for everyone to come together and enjoy memorable family meals.
Situated on a quiet street within walking distance of Kirn village, this large three-storey Victorian property is perfect for groups of guests who love the great outdoors, with the spectacular Cowal peninsula and the Argyll countryside in reach.
